Welcome to the ugliest vanity site you're ever gonna see!

My goal for this site is just to piece together something that shows what I've been up to lately for those rare few who are interested and for anyone who stumbles across this and knows me to drop in and say hello. I figure I'll try to throw up posting forums, image gallaries, and rant about my hobbies and what I've been up to. More to come in pretty much every regard (including an actual site design, eh?) as I feel inclined to create it.

What's Matt up to?

• I have two dogs, Martin and Sheila. Martin is old, lazy and fat. Sheila is young and hyper and does bad things like chewing up EVERYTHING...ALL THE TIME. They're both good dogs, tho.
• I bought a house in March of 2001. It is always messy. I am messy.
• Still workin' away merrily at the same job I've had for the last ~6 years. Senior Network Engineer they call me now. I love my job.
• I spent 8 months in 2003 taking flying lessons, and with 70 hours flight time and plenty of general study, I passed my FAA checkride on 11/14/03. I am now a Single-Engine Land Private Pilot =) And for that matter, I bought a FREAKIN' airplane in February of 2004. I'm a one-man airforce in my trusty Cessna 172.
• I've picked up a ton of woodworking gear...too bad I need to learn how to use it. The interest is there, as well as the motivation to not damage any more of my digits =)
• I want to take up rappelling, but it'll probably be a few months before I take a class and get some gear.
• I like to go camping on Jason and Heathers' land as they so generously allow.
• Guns. I like 'em. I have lots of 'em. I'm gonna get more. I like shooting holes thru paper, yo. Gotta keep the paper population in check, eh?
• TV - As far as causing my belly to expand constantly, I'm hooked on _Six Feet Under_, _The Shield_, _Aqua Teen Hunger Force_, and pretty much anything on History Channel or Discovery Wings
• Video Games - I still waste my time away with playing Counter Strike on my own CS server

More recent junk

So, like, I got a T1 installed at the house, and I'm doing all kinds of geeky network things with it. Have a /26 at my disposal so far, subnetting as I see fit. Everything here has a live IP for cryin' out loud. I'm playing with VoIP junk as well. Mad props to Andy to so kindly fling bandwidth at me so all I gotta pick up is the connection across the city. Oh yeah, and props for the neighbors whose back yard got dug up somethin' fierce so that Qwest could run 10+ pairs to my house =)

Where can you see Matt LIVE and IN CONCERT?

I've been living in Phoenix, Arizona since 11/18/1998. You can find me there, more specifically localized either in front of my computer or television, most any time. However, I'll be making the rounds now and again. If I'm gonna be in your neck of the woods, email me and I can try to arrange to catch up with ya.

• Lubbock, TX - 9/17/04 thru 9/19/04 - to be a band geek and do the Tech Band Alumni thing and go to the football game
• Lubbock, TX - 11/6/04 thru 11/8/04 - dear Jebus Goff, it'll be my HIGH SCHOOL FREAKIN' REUNION
